As a General Internist Dr. Shor continues to pursue his longstanding interests in all phases of general medical care, including preventive cardiovascular care and diabetes. Attempting to take an academic approach to the management of his patients, Dr. Shor is presently published in peer review journals in the field of chronic fatigue for which he has gained national recognition [1-3]. In addition, Dr. Shor has also developed particular expertise and has become a local referral resource in the management of fibromyalgia and Lyme disease. Effective September 2010, Dr. Shor is a member of Governor McDonnell's task force on Lyme disease.

Art Hammarstrom, FNP
Certified Family Nurse Practitioner
Art Hammarstrom is an experienced nurse practitioner, having completed histraining at George Washington and then George Mason University. Art has also trained in respiratory therapy and geriatric nursing and worked extensively in critical care, cardiac catheterization, family care and rehabilitative medicine. While working under the guidance of Dr. Shor, Art provides patient management and specialization in the treatment of chronic fatigue and associated conditions including fibromyalgia and chronic Lyme disease.

Irina Nikitina, ANP Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner After having trained under the tutelage of Dr. Shor, Irina also provides patient management and specialization in the treatment of chronic fatigue and associated conditions including fibromyalgia and chronic Lyme disease. Irina completed her undergraduate education in Zoology and Nursing at the Russian State Agricultural University and Moscow Medical College, both in Moscow, Russia. She then earned a Master of Science degree as a Adult Nurse Practitioner through George Mason University in collaboration with George Washington University. When patients describe Irina, they invariably express their appreciation for not only her experience and clinical acumen, but also her “compassionate and caring approach to their needs.”
